President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governors from Nigeria's North-Central region are calling for stronger intelligence sharing and closer cooperation to tackle insecurity.
The call comes amid continuing concerns over kidnapping, banditry and other violent crimes affecting communities in parts of the region.
The President has urged traditional rulers, religious leaders, community organisations, youths and other stakeholders to contribute to efforts aimed at improving security.
The administration says a stronger community-based approach is necessary to complement the work of conventional security agencies.
Niger Delta Reporters will continue monitoring developments in Nigeria's security architecture.
