The Nigeria Police Force says it arrested 1,334 suspects and rescued 383 kidnapped victims across the country between July and August 2026.
The figures were disclosed during a security briefing in Abuja.
The operations reportedly covered several parts of Nigeria as security agencies intensified their response to kidnapping, violent crime and other security threats.
The number of rescued victims highlights both the scale of Nigeria's kidnapping challenge and the continuing efforts by security agencies to recover abducted citizens.
Niger Delta Reporters urges security authorities to sustain intelligence-led operations while addressing the criminal networks behind kidnapping.
