The Federal Ministry of Housing has unveiled a new national housing programme aimed at delivering thousands of affordable housing units across the country over the next four years.
Officials say the programme will use a state-matching funding model, with each state expected to contribute land and infrastructure while the federal government subsidises construction costs.
Niger Delta states have been earmarked for a dedicated allocation under the plan, in recognition of housing deficits linked to erosion and flooding in the region.
